So, I’m still a little behind. The last few weeks have been busy, I’m a teacher and exam season has just come to an end, and I am just about recovered. I had a bit of spending spree last week which you can see here as a treat!
This week’s layout is again a simple one, using Studio Calico kits as it was all out on my desk. Perhaps tiredness has hindered creativity?
This weekend I was working on Week 22 of my Project Life. I have had a crazy couple of weeks, being a teacher it is the hight of exam seasons, so the last couple of weekends have been spent in school for revision sessions or recovering from a busy week!
I had lost my mojo a little, i couldn’t seem to get in the right creative frame of mind, yesterday i just sat down and got on with it!
I am quite happy with this spread, I a not usually fan of orange but these cards from the Carolina Moon Studio Calico PL kit were the perfect match the the picture i snapped of my new favourite mascara, and our new favourite TV show!
(Sorry for the lighting, a typical summers day here in the UK – grey and raining!)
Watch the process video below to see how this layout was put together,
Hope your enjoying the weekend.
As much i love completing my project life spreads, sometimes you just need to get them done. Tick the week off, and move on. April was a rather uneventful so i felt i could skip through a couple of weeks and record the basics. I challenged myself to complete this week’s layout in under 15 minutes (not including choosing and printing images)

The ‘chase adventure’ and squirrel patterned card were perfect for the trip to the park where he practically climbed a tree to follow the illusive squirrel. I also (finally) got around to having my hair cut. I have no idea what always takes me so long, i miss my long hair no a little, but it’ll grow back. The ‘before’ and ‘after’ word poem words from Februarys studio calico kit were just the thing.
Sometimes, things just don’t quite go to plan. Today was one of those days. After a frustrating morning with my sewing machine (which is just not sewing properly despite re threading and cleaning – any ideas?!) I decided to do my week 11 layout. I am unsure if it was my state of mind or the pressure that i wanted to make my birthday spread a little extra special, but this spread isn’t my best work, for me it lacks imagination and excitement, it does what it needs to do, and thats document a couple of images from my birthday.
Do you ever feel like re-doing some of your spreads if they haven’t gone to plan?
